Founder’s Society
In 1844, the founders of Olivet College had a vision for building a unique and diverse college, believing that the future of humanity rests in the hands, hearts and minds of those who will accept responsibility for themselves and others in an increasingly diverse society. In embracing individual and social responsibility, their hope was that our graduates would embody the divine art and science of doing good to others.
The Founders’ Society recognizes and honors all individuals and families who have established and documented an estate gift/planned gift of any size for the future benefit of Olivet College. Donors who support the College through some aspect of their estate plan provide the foundation for future academic success and the sustainability of the founders’ vision. Through their generosity, Founders’ Society members demonstrate how one generation can continue the legacy of those who came before and help ensure the success of those who follow after.
Members of the Founders’ Society receive a personalized memento, are recognized in Olivet College publications and are designated as Founders’ Society members at, and receive invitations to, special events. They also will annually receive an update about the College from the president and may be recognized in Olivet College major donor societies based on the level of their estate commitment.
